Self-discipline is simply the ability to put off what you want in the moment for what you want in the long run.

A lack of self-discipline is the reason that:

You haven’t made any progress on getting n more clients.
You haven’t finished that book you started a year ago.
You are as fat as you were 6 months ago.
You haven’t found that new job you want so bad.
You haven’t saved any money for that exotic trip.
You are as single as you were two years ago.
You haven’t read a book in 2 years.


You have watched a lot of TV.
You have mindlessly surfed the Internet for hundreds of hours.
You have eaten a lot of junk food.

But, how do you discipline yourself? You just do. You decide you want something bad enough to do whatever it takes to get it.
There are no easy short cuts or formulas. No training, no seminar, no book, no pill.
